CURLY TOP VIRUS Leafhoppers transmit this virus as they feed on beans, peppers, pumpkins, melons, and tomatoes. SIGNS Leaves pucker, curl, yellow, and become stiff and leathery. Veins turn purple and bronze. Growth is stunted. Fruit ripens prematurely or no fruit sets. CONTROL Destroy infected plants. Control leafhoppers. No treatment is available for infected plants.v |
